xCaller ID Spoofing
Safety Alert: Mass Bay will never call you directly and ask for your pin number. Scammers can spoof a caller ID and make it look like they are your financial institution.
What You Should Do
- If you ever receive a call from your financial institution and are unsure if the call is legitimate, hang up and call the company back directly.
- If you do not remember signing up for text message alerts with your financial institution, do not respond to any text messages you receive on the bank’s behalf.
- If you receive a suspicious text message or phone call from Mass Bay Credit Union, please contact us at 617-269-2700, Monday – Thursday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Friday - 8:30am to 6:00pm, Saturday – 8:30am – 1:15pm.
- Review your bank statements and online banking regularly and notify us immediately of any suspicious or fraudulent activity.
